Matt, a DJ playing genre's of house from soulful vibes right through to the deeper, dirtier sounds started DJ-ing in his bedroom at the tender age of 13. After learning how to beat mix for a number of years he finally got round to starting his own record collection at the age of 16. The collection grew and grew and he finally, ages 19, he got the break he was looking for at Middlesbrough's renowned underground funky house club -'The Purple Onion'.
They loved him so much, Matt was then made a resident at the club working with DJ's such as Steve Mac, Seamus Haji, Pete Gooding, Kate Lawler, Hoxton Whores, Chris Lake, Grant Nelson, Rob Wilder and even local professional footballer and friend Stewart Downing. He quickly started to get noticed on the scene and subsequently, regular gigs at The Empire's 'Sugarshack' were levered into Matt's diary.
Matt was then given the chance to play in Ibiza for the first time in back in summer 2006 at 'Coastline Cafe' and 'Plastik Bar' alongside Ibiza Resident DJ's Jon Constantine & Dermot C. Next to be added to Matt's list of venues was 'Trinity Rooms' in Limerick, Ireland & then it was back to Ibiza in June 2007 playing at - Hush, Kanya, Plastik and the world-famous San Antonio club 'Eden' where he played with alongside Jon Ulysees for 'Ibiza Residents'!
On returning from Ibiza, Matt moved his local residency to Harvey's in Middlesbrough helping to attract DJ's like Jon Fitz, Suzee X, K Klass, Rob wilder, Jason Herd and also hosting world famous house brand 'Pukka Up' to the area.
Pukka Up returned the favour which saw Matt play at 'Pacha' in London with 'Just Jack' in February 2008. This went on to see Matt again playing for Pukka Up in Ibiza 2008 on their wild boat parties & also at the most successful house night in San Antonio, 'PUKKA UP' at Es Paradis. In the same year Matt regularly played at Plastik for the 'Ibiza Residents Tour' & was also a guest at 'Hush' & 'Opium'.
