Nick Peverell // RETRO REFLECT (Sat)
Nick first hit the DJ scene back in 1991 where he was regularly found spinning tunes at his mates' house parties! So, following some amazing feedback from friends and local DJ's he decided it was high time he got serious about it! In the late 90’s Nick found himself playing in various trendy back-street bars throughout Middlesbrough, Hartlepool and Stockton and was soon headlining his first big club night at Middlesbrough's infamous house party 'Meltdown'.
Over the next 4 years Nick worked to spread the 'house vibe' with many DJ's and Live PA’s including Rozalla, Shades of Rhythm, Abigail Bailey, Alison Limerick, Tom Novy and many more. Then a sucessful house DJ in his own right, Nick was asked to follow his legendary appearances up with a residency at 'The Empire’ in Middlesbrough which proved to be a huge success and a real turning point in Nick's DJing career. Straight off the back of his regular spots in and around the North East, Nick started up his own Tuesday night at Middlesbrough's trendiest nightspot at the time, The Blue Lounge (now The Keys 2). Everything this man touched seemed to turn to gold! - he'd single-handedly managed to create mid-week night scene in Middlesbrough with punters coming from far and wide to be seen grooving at this uber-cool venue to some truly awesome tunes!
In popular demand for his weekend parties, Nick's next residency was at the renowned underground club 'The Purple Onion' in Middlesbrough playing alongside DJ's including Seamus Haji, Steve Mac, Kate Lawler, Jon Constantine, Dermot C, Richard Earnshaw, Timmy Vegas, Chris Lake and many more. During this residency Nick also had the pleasure of flitting off all over the world to DJ in countries such as Uruguay (Punta Del Esta), Latvia, Ireland (Limerick; Trinity Rooms) and even playing as an ‘Ibiza Resident’ at various locations in Ibiza including Coastline, Plastik, Hush, Kanya and Eden to name but a few.
